Stacey: Hello, Carla. I’m fine, but what dreadful weather! All this wind and rain. With such bad weather, the traffic will get very heavy.

Carla: It’s freezing cold and pouring with rain here, too.

Stacey: My neighbor thinks it’ll snow tonight.

Carla: Well, I’ve got the heating on and I’ll make some soup and a beef casserole to eat tonight. Kevin will be delighted. I’ll pick him up after his guitar lesson so he doesn’t get soaked waiting for the bus. Hey, why don’t you come over to eat this evening, too? I’ll come and get you on my way to pick up Kevin.

Stacey: I’d love to, but what time will you be here? I like to watch my favorite TV show at 5.

Carla: In that case, I’ll pick you up at 5:30. See you later.

Stacey: Bye, Carla, and thank you.

Carla: Oi, Stacey. Como você está?
Stacey: Olá, Carla. Estou bem, mas que tempo horrível! Todo esse vento e chuva… Com um clima tão ruim, o trânsito vai ficar bem pesado.
Carla: Aqui também está um frio de congelar e chovendo muito.
Stacey: Meu vizinho acha que vai nevar hoje à noite.
Carla: Bem, eu liguei o aquecedor e vou fazer uma sopa e uma caçarola de carne para o jantar. O Kevin vai ficar encantado. Vou buscá-lo depois da aula de violão para ele não se molhar esperando o ônibus. Ei, por que você não vem jantar com a gente também? Passo aí para te pegar a caminho de buscar o Kevin.
Stacey: Eu adoraria, mas a que horas você vai passar aqui? Gosto de assistir meu programa favorito às 5.
Carla: Nesse caso, passo aí às 5:30. Até mais.
