Amy: It’s your first day at this school, isn’t it?

Jordan: Yeah, that’s right.

A: So, where did you grow up?

J: In this neighbourhood.

I: was born at the City Hospital.

A: Really? Me too! My family has always lived here, but we haven’t got any relatives here.

J: My mum came here because of my dad. They met in Germany, but when they got married, they decided to move here to start a family.

A: Right. So, have you got any brothers or sisters?

J: No, I’m an only child. What about you?

A: I’ve got a twin sister and an older brother, but he’s in his early twenties and at university. We never see him!

J: University? I’d love to go.

A: Me too! Anyway, at lunchtime, I’ll introduce you to my friends if you like.

J: That would be great, thanks!

Amy: É o seu primeiro dia nesta escola, não é?
Jordan: Sim, é isso mesmo.
A: Então, onde você cresceu?
J: Neste bairro. Eu nasci no Hospital da Cidade.
A: Sério? Eu também! Minha família sempre morou aqui, mas não temos parentes aqui.
J: Minha mãe veio para cá por causa do meu pai. Eles se conheceram na Alemanha, mas quando se casaram, decidiram se mudar para cá para começar uma família.
A: Entendi. Então, você tem irmãos ou irmãs?
J: Não, sou filho único. E você?
A: Eu tenho uma irmã gêmea e um irmão mais velho, mas ele está na casa dos vinte e poucos anos e na universidade. A gente quase não o vê!
J: Universidade? Eu adoraria ir.
A: Eu também! Enfim, na hora do almoço, eu te apresento aos meus amigos, se você quiser.
J: Seria ótimo, obrigado!
