In the end, the cashier checked again and fixed the mistake, but I left feeling awkward. Then, I accidentally tried to open the wrong car in the parking lot. I pressed the key button and pulled the handle before realizing it wasn’t my car. I looked around quickly to see if anyone noticed and walked away pretending nothing happened. A few steps later, I found my actual car.
