Jake was walking home when he heard a soft whimper. He looked around and saw a small, scared puppy hiding under a bench. The puppy was dirty and shivering. Jake carefully approached and offered his hand. The puppy sniffed it and wagged its tail. Jake smiled and decided to take the little dog home. He gave it food, a warm bath, and a cozy place to sleep. The next day, he made posters and searched for the owner, but no one came. After a week, Jake realized he had already fallen in love with the puppy. He named it Max and decided to keep it. Max became Jake’s best friend. They played in the park, went on long walks, and always stayed together. Jake had rescued Max, but in the end, Max also changed Jake’s life.
