Cinderella is a kind girl who lives with her stepmother and two mean stepsisters. They make her clean the house and do all the work. One day, the king invites everyone to a ball. The stepsisters go, but Cinderella cannot. She is sad. A fairy godmother appears and helps her. She gives Cinderella a beautiful dress, glass shoes, and a magic carriage. “Be back by midnight,” she says, “or the magic will end.” At the ball, the prince dances only with Cinderella. They are happy. But at midnight, she runs away, leaving one glass shoe. The prince searches for her. He tries the shoe on every girl. Finally, he finds Cinderella. The shoe fits! The prince and Cinderella get married and live happily ever after.
