Alan: Hi, Sarah. Listen, I can’t make the presentation today. I had a car accident last night.

Sarah: That's awful! Are you OK? Where are you?

Alan: I'm at home now. I got a taxi downtown last night and another car hit us.

Sarah: How frightening! Are you hurt?

Alan: I'm OK, thanks. The ambulance took the taxi driver to hospital. I think he’s ok.

Sarah: That's good news. Why don't you try to relax now and get some sleep? I'll take care of the presentation.

Alan: Yeah, I will. Thanks, Sarah.

Sarah: Call me if you need anything.

Alan: Oi, Sara. Ouça, não posso fazer a apresentação hoje. Sofri um acidente de carro ontem à noite.

Alan: Estou em casa agora. Peguei um táxi no centro ontem à noite e outro carro bateu no nosso.

Alan: Estou bem, obrigado. A ambulância levou o taxista ao hospital. Acho que ele está bem.

Sara: Isso é uma boa notícia. Por que você não tenta relaxar agora e dormir um pouco? Eu cuido da apresentação.
