Megan: So, you're going away for a year! I can't believe it.

Alfie: Yep, 12 months!

Megan: I'm going to miss you.

Alfie: I'll miss you too.

Megan: So, tell me all about it.

Alfie: Well, we're flying to Brazil next week, and we're going to be in São Paulo for Christmas and New Year. Then, we're flying up to Mexico, where we'll stay for about a month, and then onto California.

Megan: Amazing.

Alfie: After a few weeks in the US, we're going to fly over to Hawaii where we're going to stay with my aunt.

Megan: Incredible.

Alfie: Then, we're going to Australia. We're going to stay with Jeff, an old school friend.

Megan: So, are you taking much luggage?

Alfie: Oh, that's funny you should mention that because I’ve got a few bags in the car.

Megan: The car?

Alfie: Yes, erm, I was wondering whether I could leave them at your house.

Megan: Here?

Alfie: Yes, you don't mind, do you? I had to leave out of my apartment.

Megan: Oh, erm, right, yes, erm, well, you know there isn't much space here.

Alfie: There are only six ... seven of them.

Megan: Seven?

Alfie: Plus, a bit of furniture. I'll bring it up for you.

Megan: Oh, erm ...

Alfie: I've got it downstairs.

Megan: Erm ...

Alfie: Actually, would you mind coming to help? The bookshelf weighs a ton.

Megan: Right. Ok. Erm, I'll just get my shoes on.

Alfie: Great. See you downstairs!

Megan: Então, você vai passar um ano fora! Eu não acredito.

Alfie: Sim, 12 meses!

Megan: Vou sentir sua falta.

Alfie: Vou sentir sua falta também.

Megan: Então, me conte tudo.

Alfie: Bem, vamos voar para o Brasil na próxima semana, e vamos estar em São Paulo para o Natal e Ano Novo. Depois, vamos voar para o México, onde vamos ficar por cerca de um mês, e depois para a Califórnia.

Megan: Incrível.

Alfie: Depois de algumas semanas nos EUA, vamos voar para o Havaí, onde vamos ficar com minha tia.

Megan: Incrível.

Alfie: Depois, vamos para a Austrália. Vamos ficar com Jeff, um velho amigo da escola.

Megan: Então, você vai levar muita bagagem?

Alfie: Ah, é engraçado você mencionar isso porque eu tenho algumas malas no carro.

Megan: No carro?

Alfie: Sim, hum, eu estava me perguntando se eu poderia deixá-las na sua casa.

Megan: Aqui?

Alfie: Sim, você não se importa, né? Eu tive que sair do meu apartamento.

Megan: Ah, hum, certo, sim, hum, bem, você sabe que não há muito espaço aqui.

Alfie: São apenas seis... sete malas.

Megan: Sete?

 Alfie: Além de alguns móveis. Vou trazer para você.

Megan: Ah, hum...

Alfie: Estão no andar de baixo.

Megan: Hum...

Alfie: Na verdade, você se importaria de vir ajudar? A estante pesa uma tonelada.

Megan: Certo. Ok. Hum, vou só colocar meus sapatos.

Alfie: Ótimo. Te vejo lá embaixo!
