Andre: For example, I was an athlete when I was very, very young, [Yeah] and maybe if I had tried harder [Mmhm] I would have been a little bit better at what I had done.

Jackson: And maybe you’d now be competing in the Olympics [Exactly!] this year!

Andre: I’d be training right now!

Jackson: Really?

Luisa: Yes, but then you could be regretting spending the whole of your life just in difficult training schedules and never having any fun and never just… you know… eating an ice cream on the beach.

Andre: This is true!

Jackson: Exactly! Now you have a better life. You have more fun. You don’t… you don’t, you know… Do you sit around regretting that you’re… you know… that you’re not a professional athlete?

Andre: No, absolutely not. I think things have turned out very, very well.

Jackson: Well, you look happy.

Andre: I’m a very happy guy. And you?

Jackson: Yeah, I’m happy! I mean, I’m full of regret, but I’m still happy.

Andre: Do you have anything you wish you would have tried harder at?

Jackson: Absolutely nothing.

Andre: Absolutely nothing?

Andre: Por exemplo, eu era um atleta quando era muito, muito jovem, [Sim] e talvez se eu tivesse me esforçado mais [Mmhm] eu teria sido um pouco melhor no que fazia.

Jackson: E talvez você agora estivesse competindo nas Olimpíadas [Exatamente!] deste ano!

André: Eu estaria treinando agora mesmo!

Jackson: Sério?

Luisa: Sim, mas então você poderia estar se arrependendo de passar a vida inteira apenas em horários pesados de treino e nunca se divertindo e nunca apenas... você sabe... tomando um sorvete na praia.

André: Isso é verdade!

Jackson: Exatamente! Agora você tem uma vida melhor. Você se diverte mais. Você não... você não, você sabe... Você fica por aí se arrependendo de ser... você sabe... de não ser um atleta profissional?

André: Não, absolutamente não. Acho que as coisas correram muito, muito bem.

Jackson: Bem, você parece feliz.

André: Sou um cara muito feliz. E você?

Jackson: Sim, estou feliz! Quer dizer, estou cheio de arrependimento, mas ainda estou feliz.

André: Existe alguma coisa na qual você gostaria de ter se esforçado mais?

Jackson: Absolutamente nada.
