1: I look after kids after school. Um, they come to my
house and I help them with their homework and make them an afternoon snack.
2: I translate technical documents from English into
German.
3: I prepare the menus and the food for events and
parties. Generally, I work at home but sometimes I have to go out to meet
clients.
4: I work at home or – or really I work in a shed in
the garden … um … which is where I keep the tools and all the different types
of wood that I work that I with. I make chairs and cupboards and cabinets and
things like that.

1: Favorite food? Uh … would be pasta. I do enjoy
pasta. Um, I like pasta and meatballs. Spaghetti and meatballs.
2: My favorite meal is roast chicken because I really
enjoy meat, and I enjoy the vegetables and the Yorkshire puddings that come
with it.
3: I think my favorite food is fruit … um … because
it’s really healthy, and … um … my favorite fruit is strawberries.
4: My favorite food is Thai food and particularly
curry – red curry from Thailand is my – is my favorite food.
1: Comida favorita? Uh ... seria
macarrão. Eu gosto de macarrão. Eu gosto de macarrão e almôndegas. Espaguete
com almôndegas.
2: Minha refeição favorita é frango
assado porque gosto muito de carne e gosto dos vegetais e dos pudins que vêm
com ela.

fruta ... hum ... porque é muito saudável, e ... hum ... minha fruta favorita é
morango.
4: Minha comida favorita é comida
tailandesa e particularmente curry - curry vermelho da Tailândia é meu - é
minha comida favorita.
1: The sport I most enjoy is running. I do quite a few
triathlons, but running is my favorite aspect.
2: Well, sport is huge for girls in America. Um, so we
grow up from the young age of four and five playing soccer, so that’s my
favorite sport.
3: Golf is my first love, really. I have enjoyed it
for some time, and I try and play … um … twice a week if I can.
4: Squash has become a huge favorite. So, love playing
squash, and it’s a great way to socialize as well, with friends.
5: Uh, I really love football … uh … and my favorite
player is Zinedine Zidane.
6: I think my favorite thing about sports, which is
not playing them, but watching them … um … is watching baseball – because
traditionally in America girls don’t play baseball, but every family has its
own allegiance to their, you know, local team. And for me it was the Yankees,
and I love rooting for them.

sobre esportes, não é jogá-los, mas assisti-los ... hum ... assistir beisebol -
porque tradicionalmente na América as garotas não jogam beisebol, mas cada
família tem sua própria lealdade aos seus, você sabe, Time local. E para mim
foram os Yankees, e adoro torcer por eles.
1: I like listening to music where a group of people
sing together … um … in … uh …often a church setting.
2: I like war films because … uh … I’m a big fan of
history and they – they help to bring it to life.
3: I like dance music. Um, the – I mean, I guess
partly I like the social side – going out to clubs with friends and stuff and
just getting lost in the music and dancing really till, you know, till the
morning.
4: I
like … um … horror movies. I like them
because they scare me and there’s something about them that’s really funny as
well because they’re fake. And there’s monsters that jump out at you, and
they’re good fun to watch with friends.
5: I like music that tells a story … um … has
instruments like guitars and violins caused … um … they’re very natural
sounding and passionate and vivid and it seems to me that that’s what music’s
about.
6: I really like films that make me laugh, that are
light-hearted and have a bit of romance in.
1: Eu gosto de ouvir música onde um
grupo de pessoas cantam juntas ... hum ... em ... uh ... geralmente em um
ambiente de igreja.
2: Eu gosto de filmes de guerra
porque ... uh ... eu sou um grande fã de história e eles - eles ajudam a
trazê-la à vida.
3: Eu gosto de dance music. Hum, o -
quer dizer, eu acho que em parte gosto do lado social - sair em clubes com
amigos e outras coisas e me perder na música e dançar até, você sabe, até de
manhã.
4: Eu gosto de ... hum ... filmes de
terror. Gosto deles porque me assustam e há algo neles que também é muito
engraçado, porque são falsos. E há monstros que saltam em você, e é divertido
assisti-los com os amigos.
5: Eu gosto de música que conta uma
história ... hum ... tem instrumentos como violões e violinos que causam ...
hum ... eles soam muito naturais e apaixonados e vívidos e me parece que é
disso que se trata a música.
6: Eu realmente gosto de filmes que
me fazem rir, que são alegres e têm um pouco de romance.
