One day, a princess lost her golden ball in a pond. She was sad. A frog jumped out of the water. “I can help you,” said the frog. “But you must be my friend.” The princess agreed. The frog found the ball and gave it to her. But she did not want to be his friend and ran away. That night, the frog came to the castle. The king said, “You must keep your promise.” The princess let the frog eat with her and sleep near her. The next day, the frog turned into a prince! “A witch cursed me,” he said. “Your kindness broke the spell.” The princess and the prince became friends. One day, they got married and lived happily ever after.

Um dia, uma princesa perdeu sua bola de ouro em um lago. Ela ficou triste. Um sapo pulou para fora da água.

— Eu posso ajudá-la — disse o sapo. — Mas você deve ser minha amiga.

A princesa concordou. O sapo encontrou a bola e a devolveu para ela. Mas ela não quis ser sua amiga e correu para longe.

Naquela noite, o sapo foi até o castelo. O rei disse:

— Você deve cumprir sua promessa.

A princesa deixou o sapo comer com ela e dormir perto dela. No dia seguinte, o sapo se transformou em um príncipe!

— Uma bruxa me amaldiçoou — ele disse. — Sua bondade quebrou o feitiço.

A princesa e o príncipe se tornaram amigos. Um dia, eles se casaram e viveram felizes para sempre.
